It was just over a year ago when Peter found himself in "a bit of panic." "My financial adviser disappeared off the face of the earth," he explains.

Tasked with finding someone new to help him manage his finances, he created a list of investment firms with offices near his home -- one of which, was Edward Jones.

When Peter met his local financial adviser, he wasn't familiar with the Edward Jones' investment philosophy or its principles, but he was so impressed with what he learned" Edward Jones was the first place I stopped; and I didn't go anywhere else," he says.

That was just over a year ago and since then, their relationship has continued to grow. Most importantly, says Peter, "He's helped me out of the position I was in…and he's helping me sort out some of my affairs."

Together, they've kept Peter on track for the future. "He's doing the annual review with me now. And we've adjusted my financial goals now that I'm retired." We've also discussed inheritance taxes and are starting to put a plan in action," he says.

In fact, Peter's been nothing but pleased with his decision to work with Edward Jones, and that includes the office staff at the local branch. "He and his office administrator are very good," he says. "They've helped me out enormously. Nothing seems like too much trouble for them."

And in regards to his local financial adviser, "I tend to forget there's quite a big company behind him. He has the resources and the experience [of Edward Jones], but I get the feeling like I'm talking to a one-man business."
