British Columbia Unclaimed Property

The British Columbia Unclaimed Property Act requires holders of unclaimed property, where the last known address is in British Columbia, to maintain a database which sets out the names of unclaimed property owners and the date the unclaimed property became unclaimed. The purpose of this Act is to reunite owners with any unclaimed property Edward Jones and other financial institutions may be holding on their behalf.

To obtain information on our policies and procedures for locating owners of unclaimed property, please call our Client Relations Team toll-free at 1-877-370-2627. To inquire whether your name appears in our database of unclaimed property owners, please present your request in writing together with supporting documentation including two pieces of personal identification. It will take 4 to 6 weeks for a request to be processed and a claimant notified of the result.
